Williams Selyem 2018 Pinot Noir SC
2018 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
NVWE Notes: Deep, concentrated, zesty, minerally and spicy, yet in no way heavy, the aromas of this impressive bottling pour-forth as a well-focused melange of candied red apple, cranberry, pomegranate, sour red cherry, red raspberry, crushed Mr. Lincoln rose, hazelnut husk and toffee. It is even more sweet-natured in the mouth, where blood orange, sour red cherry, red currant jelly and grenadine rise above a richer core of Bing cherry and black raspberry, and sweet-savory notes of nutmeg, baking-spice, toffee and tobacco. Truly delicious and long-lingering now, it wants another four years to completely reveal all of its charms.
Wine Enthusiast 95 Points
A beautiful expression of the cool-climate appellation, this wine shows enduring flavors of blackberry and cherry, with deft touches of dried herb and forest. It holds its oak and weight with ease, offering balance within a complex structure and hint of grip. Virginie Boone 9/1/2020
