NVWE Notes: Deep, youthful and seductively rich, this notably complex Napa Cab marries aromas of blueberry, mulberry, black currant, dark plum, and black cherry pit with scents of clove, date sugar, espresso bean, dried black fig, vanilla and a touch of laurel. It is quietly gripping yet supple and tongue-coating in the mouth, where the fruit seems a bit more youthfully coiled and the sweet-savory counterpoints a shade more dramatic. The finish draws blueberry, blackberry, black fig, dark plum, cherry pit, sandalwood, vanilla, baking-spice and a hint of tobacco into a lingering harmony. As generous and satisfying as it is now, it will certainly improve.
