It is as creamy as expected on the palate, with gutsy-grippy underpinnings that are well submerged beneath rich flavors of dark berry, plum, dark cherry, toffee, vanilla, coffee bean and licorice root. The finish is long and the style very food-friendly. It will prove a fine companion to sauced meats.
