NVWE Notes: Zesty and just a hint youthfully reserved, the aromas of this wine are a well-defined mix of dark cherry, pomegranate syrup, sour red cherry, black peppercorn and bouillon: poised above a firmer core of blueberry, blackberry, clove, smoke and dried beef scents. These elements are more fully realized on the palate, where tannic grip focuses and quietly underpins the wine's core of cherry, dark berry and peppercorn fruit. The finish is piquant and lingering, and although this one should get better for another two to four years, it will be delicious right now with the richer beef or lamb entrees. 214 cases produced.
