NVWE Notes: This "Atticus" is dark in color and in personality. The aromas are a tightly-knit, gutsy, rather big-scale mix of black plum, dark sour cherry, pomegranate syrup, black fig, dark red rose, coriander seed and dark tobacco. It is piquant and a bit gripping in the mouth, where black cherry, dark sour cherry, cherry pit, red apple skin, dark plum, dry red rose, hazelnut husk, tobacco leaf, sandalwood and mineral flavors gain depth and richness with airing yet remain youthfully coiled through what will eventually prove a long finish. Expect four or five years of steady evolution and a long life. Team it with fatty meats to enjoy it now.
