NVWE Notes: This knockout Cab offers a deeply concentrated, focused, fruity-floral, herbal-accented and attractively spicy nose where scents of Italian Maraschino cherry, cherry pit, pomegranate, red raspberry, rose, violet, mulling-spice and celery seed perch above foresty-minerally undertones. On the palate the flavors prove deeply concentrated and of chiseled focus and fine length, and they fan-out with great purity, in lockstep with the aromas. Certain to improve for another five years, it is likely to prove as long-lived as the 1960s era Beaulieu Reserve Cabernets that it so resembles.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, perfumed and silky, the 2016 captures all of the most elegant qualities of the year. Crushed flowers, sweet red berries, mint, rose petal and spice notes are laced throughout in this subtle, gracious Cabernet Sauvignon. All the elements are simply in the right place.
