JEEPER CHAMPAGNE BRUTBBLANC DE BLANC NON VINTAGE

NVWE Notes This is a super-forthcoming, soft-edged and altogether delightful Champagne. The nose is plump and juicy and delivers scents of baked peaches, lemon cream, brioche, baklava, biscuits and a hint of marzipan. It proves as plush as expected in the mouth, where there is a soft-edged frothiness and plush peach and honey-drenched nut flavors that are cut by bright zest to finish with a surprisingly dry, long-lasting finish. It is full enough for service with rich entrees and may prove an attractive accompaniment to seared scallops or pike quenelles. 100% Chardonnay, blended from the 2004 and 2006 vintages. Named for disabled World War 2 Intelligence Officer and Champagne Vintner, Armand Goutorbe, who was gifted a Willys Jeep by American troops, in honor of his service.
