Complex and intriguing, the nose of this pretty Cabernet blend is a melange of black cherry, blueberry, black currant and violet scents, with undercurrents of licorice root, dark pipe tobacco, cedar and graphite. Black current and dark sweet cherry flavors dominate on the palate, supported by the savory influences predicted in the aromas. This combination creates a gutsy, slightly gripping mouthfeel and fine length and food balance. It is almost mature and is a fine value. A mix of Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. 5000 cases produced.
