NVWE Notes: Very much on the ripe and richly oaky side of the Sauvignon Blanc spectrum, the aromas of this otherwise textbook Napa wine are a rich mix of golden fig, honeydew melon, green gage plum and pear liqueur, with hints of gooseberry, lemon grass, white pepper and plenty of vanilla in support. It is plush on the palate, where dried golden fig, golden mulberry, green melon, gooseberry, white peach pit and vanilla wafer all fan-out. Fully dry and gently zesty, it is juicy to the end, and begs for service with richly flavored entrees. 1500 cases produced.
