NVWE Notes: If youthfully reserved, this value-priced Cab is focused and gutsy and has a sweet-natured elegance at its core. The nose offers emerging blueberry, dark plum, black currant, mulberry and fig scents in easy harmony with notes of sandalwood, sweet pipe tobacco and peppercorn. It is juicy and quietly gripping on the palate, where flavors of cherry galette, blueberry, mace, cedar and a touch of clove stand out. The finish is firm and lingers with polish and balance. A very versatile food companion, it should serve as well with Veal Scaloppini as with Prime Rib. Expect two years of steady improvement. 1000 Cases produced.
