NVWE Notes: Gorgeous in color and racy in style, this is a Mourvedre of focus, varietal accuracy and charm. The nose melds scents of Santa Rosa plum, lingonberry and a bit of bottled red cherry with savory notes of pink peppercorn, pink rose, mace, baking-spice and pencil shavings. Things are medium in body if a bit darker and gutsier on the palate, where bright red plum, dried raspberry, currant and mineral flavors dominate. It finishes with a lingering mix of pretty red fruits and peppery spice accented by hints of mace and dried orange peel. 250 cases made.
