NVWE Notes: Very rich and notably forthcoming, the aromas of this wine are a heady mix of black cherry, black currant, black raspberry, fig, cedar, mace, nut husk, dark tobacco and coffee bean scents. Those ripe fruit notes hold their focus and zest on the palate, where the flavors are tongue-coating and lingering. The tannins are structural and never harsh, so they never distract from the impression of supple opulence. This is a wine for winter meals, ready to grace a holiday table already. Blended with 6% Merlot & 4% Petite Verdot, 2534 cases produced.
