Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon The Three Kings leaps from the glass with notions of black raspberries, blackberry pie, blackcurrant pastilles and Morello cherries plus touches of pencil shavings, fungi, charcoal and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black and red fruit with a firm, grainy texture and just enough freshness to lift the finish. Drink 2020 - 2036. Crème de cassis, red cherry jam, chocolate, grilled herbs, lavender, spice and sweet new oak infuse this racy, flamboyant To Kalon Cabernet. Medium in body and super-expressive, the 2017 is a winner.
