BLACKBIRD "DISSONANCE" SAUVIGNON BLANC NAPA VALLEY 2017NVWE Notes: Rich in fruit and spice and zest and mineral counterpoints, this is a wine able to stand up to full-flavored entrees. The nose melds scents of dried Calimyrna fig, guava, vanilla pudding, gooseberry, white pepper, lemon grass and a hint of cilantro into a subtly creamy perfume. The wine proves flavorful, generous and soft-edged on the palate, where jammy fig notes take center-stage and flavors of guava, gooseberry, peach pit and white pepper provide support. The gently creamy finish is firmed a bit by zesty-mineraly undercurrents which heighten the food-worthiness. Blended with 15% Semillon, 2000 cases produced.
