If as fine as any great vintage of Ferrington Pinot is assumed to be, the 2021 is more deliciously forthcoming than expected. The aromas are notably concentrated and burst forth as brilliantly focused medley of raspberry coulis, dark sour cherry, pomegranate, blood orange, Mr. Lincoln rose, hazelnut nougat and sweet tobacco leaf scents. In the mouth, vibrant zest and polished tannins frame in densely packed flavors that vividly mirror the nose while streamlining an otherwise luxurious texture. The finish is extremely long and impressively gripping and the balance is truly sensational. Expect this stunner to improve for at least five years.
