It reveals impressive grip and plenty of pretty oak on the palate, where dark sour cherry and blueberry dominate while flavors of nut husk, coffee bean and sandalwood bring sweet-savory contrast. The finish is rich, balanced, impressively gutsy and lingering, and the wine should grow ever more attractive over the next two or three years.
