This is a rich and forthcoming Cabernet-based blend, with a focused nose of dark ripe cherry, pomegranate syrup, dark plum compote, coffee toffee, peppercorn and dark forest floor scents. It seems youthful on the palate and is surprisingly rich in texture, with lingering flavors that mirror the nose, but with a bit more stress on the savory notes. The finish delivers cherry, pomegranate syrup, toffee, baking spice, dark tobacco and peppercorn flavors that linger well. Built for steaks, rich stews, ragouts and the like, it will give continuing pleasure over the next five years or so.
