Forthcoming and notably rich, the aromas of this beautifully generous Cab center on dark boysenberry, black cherry jam, mulberry, blueberry and black currant preserves married to scents of bitter chocolate, toffee, dark pipe tobacco, clove, cedar and a hint of mace. It is ripe, weighty and very rich on the palate, where flavors of Italian Marsaschino cherry, fresh black cherry, boysenberry, blackberry, blueberry and black currant dominate and linger impressively. The finish is juicy enough to cover several years of submerged tannins although the wine is already a rewarding dinner companion.
