A barrel sample, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Leonardini Vineyard is deep purple-black and displays beautifully fragrant scents of lilacs and lavender over a core of cassis, black cherry pie and dark chocolate with hints of bay leaves and damp soil. Full-bodied and laden with black fruit and floral layers, it has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and earthy. Lisa Perrotti-Brown
