Rich and forthcoming, the nose of this classy mountain Chardonnay expresses oaky spice, minerality and lots of ripe, focused fruit in a generous melange. The nose showcases focused peach, baked apple, lemon cream pie, chamomile, honey and hazelnut meringue scents. It is rich in texture yet zesty in the mouth, where chalk and slate notes firm and streamline the ripe fruit, which is otherwise made even more opulent by richer honey and dried golden fig undercurrents. The finish is lingering and generous and this already gorgeous wine will grow more so over the next 18 months or more. 47 cases produced.
