Bright and deeply rich, this knockout Pinot Noir unveils black raspberry, black cherry, cranberry sauce, licorice root, baking spice and peppercorn scents with strong rooty and minerally undercurrents. All these elements increase in amplification on the palate, where piquant fruit, intense dark mineral notes, a tongue-coating texture, firming tannins and some exotic terroir notes achieve ever finer harmony as the wine airs. These flavors linger with vivid focus, great impact and brilliant length, all of which seem to grow ever more deep and lovely overnight. Expect it to evolve positively for a dozen years, yet it will drink well no matter how soon the cork is pulled.
