This terrific value red is softly rich yet expressive of both fruit and spice to the nose, where black pepper, bresaola, black raspberry, black cherry, pomegranate molasses, violet, blueberry and a hint of licorice are all notable. All of these elements appear in harmony on the palate, with a food worthy style and attractive textural weight. The finish is lingering and attractively gutsy, which suggests that the wine’s best years still lie ahead. It is certainly a very attractive dinner wine already. 3500 cases produced.
