Bright, spicy and distinctive, the nose of this impressive wine melds focused scents of black raspberry, sour dark cherry, cherry pit, grenadine, violet, hazelnut husk, pink peppercorn and a hint of hunter's broth into a fresh, appealing medley. It is racy on the palate, piquantly spicy and quite flavorful, with fine grip, length and a lovely dinner balance that exhibits good tension. All these elements seem to grow and clarify as the wine airs. This is a fine dinner wine already and it’s certain to be better in 18 months. 1200 cases produced.
