Quite possibly the best Verdad Albarino yet produced, this deliciously fresh and delightfully fruity wine opens with distinctive aromas of fresh apple core, stone fruit, hints of orange flower water, almond and some saline mineral suggestions, all of these poised above a deeper core of Crenshaw melon and lychee. It is medium-bodied, palate-coating, bright and absolutely fruit-packed in the mouth, where it proves as mineral-dry and piquantly fresh as hoped. These notes serve to showcase the apple core, quince, fresh golden fig, stone fruit and melon flavors that surge forward and linger as a zesty, food friendly medley. Wonderful to enjoy all by itself, it will be seductive with a myriad of foods. 2024 produced  an especially small crop, which may be responsible for the wine’s intense varietal character.
