This is a rich Chardonnay yet zest will likely always be one of its central components. The aromas are a coiled melange of fresh apple, peach pit, grapefruit pith, tangerine and nougat. It is texturally rich but notably fresh on the palate, where piquant citric notes and bittersweet suggestions of peach pit, grapefruit pith, apple core and hazelnut husk counterpoint the more tightly-wound peach-apple hazelnut and tangerine flavors. The finish is quite youthful and lingers well and flavors of hazelnut nougat bring extra richness at the end. 500 cases produced.
