NVWE Notes: If a bit youthfully slow to open, the nose of this fine Cab gradually layers bright aromas of sour red cherry, red currant jelly, pomegranate syrup, canela, pink peppercorn, vanilla and dark tobacco above a suggestion of forest earth. These same notes create a zestier first impression on the palate, where flavors of sour cherry, red plum, currant and fresh pomegranate join others of sweet tobacco, vanilla, cedar and enough firming minerality to make the mouth-feel racy. Youthfully fresh yet food-balanced and lingering, it should serve nicely with sauced meats. Expect another few years of improvement. 500 cases produced.
