At once creamy-rich and vibrantly fresh, the nose of this mountain wine is a medley of white peach, applesauce, honey, nutmeg and white rose, with undercurrents of lemon sorbet and drying minerality. Classic Santa Cruz Mountain mineral notes and sweet lemon are at center-stage on the palate, where they create a drying counterpoint to fresh apple fruit flavors, while stone fruit and oaky spice form the backdrop. The finish is very long and notably food-balanced, offering lots of current appeal and the likelihood of becoming more seductive in another year. 470 cases produced.
