This classic Tierra Roja Cab delivers a racy harmony of supple texture, tannic structure and minerality, fully dominated by elegant red fruits. The nose is a focused, densely-packed medley of black cherry, red currant, dark sweet cherry and violet fruit scents tied to sweet-savory notes of mace, cedar, baking-spice and sweet tobacco leaf: all these poised above hard-edged mineral undercurrents. It is concentrated, perfectly ripe and as classy as hoped on the palate, where the flavors expand dramatically with airing. It is extremely long and already more than dinner-ready and the finish is packed with red fruit and spice. Expect a decade of positive evolution. 250 cases produced. We dedicate this bottling to the memory of our beloved former co-worker James Jackson. James often said that Tierra Roja was his favorite vineyard.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps with vibrant black and red cherries scents, followed by mulberries and cassis, with underlying touches of cedar, clove oil and pencil lead.
