Sweet dark plum, dark cherry, red currant, licorice root, cedar, clove and toffee aromas come-forth in fine focus and good richness in the nose of this value-priced Cabernet. It is rich, sleek, polished and gently gripping on the palate, where flavors of plum, black cherry, date, toffee, mace, cedar, clove and star anise find harmony. The finish lingers elegantly while the wines gutsy undercurrent promises equally fine service with grilled or sauced meats. It is nearly mature and well expresses this vintage’s combination of style and and backbone.
