This is an exceptional vintage for this celebrated bottling and it offers immediately forthcoming aromas of stone fruits, guava and lemon grass, with undercurrents of mango, passion fruit, white pepper and flint. It is tongue-coating yet mineral dry on the palate, where slate and flint notes frame in flavors of white peach, preserved lemon, mango, orange peel and a hint of vanilla. The finish is texturally rich, deep in fruit, notably mineral and extremely long. This is a delicious sipper that will taste even better if paired with Linguini con Vongole and the like.
