Rich, ripe and spicy, this gutsy yet easy drinking Zinfandel offers focused aromas of raspberry coulis, dark sour cherry, black cherry cough drop, black peppercorn and licorice root. The richness is almost “heady” on  the palate, where tannin, zest and strong black pepper notes join some earthy undercurrents in support of black cherry, sour cherry and black raspberry fruit flavors. Fruit and peppercorn highlight the lingering finish which has the gutsiness to compliment steaks, barbecued meats and tomato sauce based entrees. It should drink nicely for the next two or three years. 1000 cases made.
