NVWE Notes: Darkly rich. ripe and focused, the nose of this fine, notably underpriced Zinfandel focuses on scents of dark cherry galette, purple plum, red currant, dry red rose, dried herbs and a hint of toffee, these poised above a background of peppery bouillon. It is rich in body and polished on the palate, where flavors of red currant, black fig and licorice root take center-stage along with emerging notes of dark cherry and peppercorn. All the promised aromatic elements are brought forward as the wine airs, to linger attractively. A fine food wine, it is ready to enjoy. 2900 Cases
