NVWE Notes: Deep in fruit but equally packed with savory complexity, this is a wine worthy of richly-sauced cuisine. The nose poises a core of blueberry, dark cherry and black plum above scents of sandalwood, cocoa nibs, bouillon, forest mushrooms and a touch of violet. The fruity-savory contrasts are even more obvious on the palate, where a tighter core of red currant, tart red cherry, blueberry, violet and pink peppercorn finds harmony with sweet-natured layers of milk chocolate, star anise, mace, sandalwood, bouillon and forest mushroom. A blend of 58% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon & 16% Malbec. 8000 cases produced.
