Flavorful and distinctive, if in strong contrast to its European siblings, this is a tasty New World Vermentino. The nose is fragrant and surprisingly tropical in character, as aromas of honeydew melon, lychee, papaya, yuzo and white pepper come forth, but show little evidence of the grape’s expected minerality. Generous Key lime, green melon, papaya, mango and white pepper flavors are at center-stage on the palate and through a rich and lingering finish. A fine sipper, it should serve nicely with Hawaiian-style seafood preparations. 1400 cases made.
