NVWE Notes: This well-priced yet fancy Pinot Noir offers a youthfully reserved yet impressively fruity nose of strawberry rhubarb pie, plum galette and ripe red cherry scents in fine harmony with sweet-savory notes of cinnamon, star anise, nutmeg and baking-spice. It is attractively oaky and quietly gripping on the palate, where sour cherry, red plum, cranberry sauce and strawberry jam flavors marry others of hazelnut nougat, crushed dry rose, sandalwood and cinnamon “red hots”. Hints of hazelnut husk and a tight core of sour red cherry are also notable in the lingering finish. If a very appealing dinner wine already, it will be much more so in another twelve to twenty-four months. 116 cases produced.
