If impressively elegant, the nose this classy Pinot Noir is also forthcoming, complex and distinctive. It offers aromas of boysenberry, lingonberry, red cherry and a hint of blueberry in pretty harmony with savory scents of pink rose, star anise and hazelnut husk, this all poised above saline mineral undercurrents. On the palate, nut husk, baking spice, anise and mineral notes bring richness and depth to youthful, somewhat ethereal-seeming fruit flavors. The finish is attractive and lingering and it’s energized by piquant fruit zest. Already very tasty, it should grow ever more so over the next 24 months or more. 1950 cases produced.
