This is a delightfully elegant Sangiovese with focused varietal character and impressive backbone. The nose offers scents of sweet red cherry, strawberry, tomato stems, pink peppercorn, toffee and mace. It is sleek, supple and gently zesty on the palate, where the flavors are forthcoming and extremely long. The centerpiece notes of sweet cherry, wild strawberry and pink rose are food-balanced and delicious to the very end. Expect another years or two of improvement. 220 cases produced.
