2019 Sandhi Chardonnay Central Coast

NVWE Notes: This gently-priced bottling has the virtues of a more expensive wine. The aromas are an elegantly pretty, if youthfully low-key, medley of fresh apple, gooseberry, quince, vanilla, honey and white rose. It is fuller, zestier and subtly mineral-laced on the palate, where the flavors prove a more forthcoming rendering of everything the nose promises. The finish is creamy, extremely long and food-balanced, and this already fine dinner wine should get better for another eighteen months.
