NVWE Notes: Concentrated, youthful and characteristic of this high altitude vineyard, the nose unfolds with focused scents of red raspberry galette, red boysenberry and sour dark cherry at center-stage, counter-pointed by sumac berry, five-spice, hints of dried herbs and toasted grain above emerging notes of blueberry and whortleberry. It is ripe and already sweet-natured on the mid-palate, and carries attractive zest and firming minerality to frame-in its lingering flavors of baked sour red cherry, Cherry Bounce liqueur, raspberry galette, coriander seed, cardamom, sandalwood, five-spice, pink peppercorn, sumac berry and sweet tobacco leaf. Creamy-rich and delicious already, it has five years of steady growth ahead.
