This fine, gutsy bottling is aromatically redolent of dark cherry, blackberry and black currant, with rich undercurrents of graphite, dark earth and dried herbs: everything focused and varietally on target. It proves a slightly more rustic bottling on the palate, where the wine seems built for service with grilled fatty meats. The mid-palate and finishing flavors are a lingering medley of focused dark fruits tied to earthy notes and dried herbal spice. It is ready to enjoy and will remain so for several more years. A mix of ancient and younger vines, organically grown.
