There's a stunningly flinty aroma to the nose of this bottling, like smoke from chiseled granite, as well as hints of citrus peel. The palate grabs hold with a grippy tension, carrying flavors of crushed stones, singed lemon pith and light oak spice. 9/1/2022

Yet another fine Estate Chardonnay from Ridge, this beauty underlines aromas of apple, pear, fig, stone fruits, honey and baking spice with hard minerality and a bit of lemony freshness. It is firm and densely packed on the palate, where all the aromatic notes are reproduced with a more lean, coiled feel. The finish is long and eminently food-worthy already, although another two or three years of cellar time will elevate everything. Fruit sourced entirely from the Monte Bello vineyard.
