Complex, energetic, wonderfully elegant and well-focused at opening, this terrific Pinot Noir offers sharp piquancy, grip, minerality and impressive tension as well. The nose fans-out gorgeous aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, violet, lingonberry, pomegranate, coriander seed, star anise and sandalwood poised above a spine of saline minerality: all these elements unfolding in lovely harmony and with chiseled clarity. It is tense, gripping and piquantly fruity in the mouth, where boysenberry and whortleberry take center stage and all the promised flavors  line up in lock-step and the finish lingers brilliantly. This beauty will likely need three or four years or more to express its full glory and is potentially a great wine. Certified Organic and Biodynamic.
