This is a young Cabernet, with impressive character, but a hint of youthful reticence. The aromas are a medley of sour dark cherry, blackberry, black currant, violet, cedar, clove and vanilla. Firming tannins and youthful zest bring an impression of leanness and brooding power to the palate, where dark fruit, bitter chocolate and violet make a strong statement that carries through a lingering finish, where all the promised fruit elements are also evident. It should improve for another four years.
