NVWE Notes: This delicious and age-worthy bottling is true to its appellation in all other respects yet shows none of the hard-edged austerity so typical of DM Cabs. The nose, which is deep, concentrated, weighty and precise, delivers blackberry, black currant, blueberry, cedar, clove, sandalwood and dark earth aromas in near perfect balance. The wine proves fruitier still on the palate, where black currant, blackberry, black cherry, black fig, graphite, mace, cedar, clove and licorice root make a focused, lingering statement.
