This is a deeply concentrated, tightly focused and altogether classically styled Knights Valley Cabernet. The nose is a vibrant medley of black currant, blueberry, violet, blackberry, toasted cedar and graphite, with background hints of eucalyptus and dark tobacco. It is vibrantly bright in the mouth and notably rich, with flavors that not only replicate the aromas but dwarf the wine’s substantial tannins impressively. The finish is long lasting and of chiseled focus, and the wine, a fine companion to Prime Rib right now, will be much better in four years or so. 267 cases produced.
