Wonderfully elegant and showing chiseled focus, this is an enormously attractive Chardonnay from the moment the cork is pulled. The nose offers a caressing perfume of zesty lemon curd, pineapple souffle, baked green apple, toasted coconut, vanilla wafer and hazelnut meringue scents. It proves as fruit and spice rich as expected on the palate, where its graceful character never flags and all the promised flavors spread through a supple, lingering finish where focused fruit and pretty oak spice grow ever more generous as the wine airs. If ideally food-balanced it is a pleasurable sipper and a wine destined to grow in appeal for another year or two. 215 cases produced.
