Youthfully reserved yet deep in fruit and spice, the nose of this fine bottling offers purple plum, blueberry, pomegranate syrup, bouillon, black pepper and forest floor scents.  A complex medley of pomegranate syrup, boysenberry, blueberry, black pepper, mace, iron, slate and Oolong tea leaf flavors holds focus on the palate. The finish is rich, lingering and appropriately grippy and the wine is built for service with grilled steaks, ribs and the like. 340 cases produced.
