Youthful, focused and precise, if shy when the cork is first pulled, this lovely Pinot gradually unfolds to reveal sweet-natured aromas of red cherry, cranberry, lingonberry and Campari that soar above blood orange, red rose, hazelnut and mineral scents. In the mouth, seemingly identical flavors stay zesty, elegant and true to the aromas, although this 2022 may lack the concentrated power exhibited by some previous vintages of this bottling. The finish is lingering, already seductive, and progressively veers toward feminine elegance as the wine airs. Expect another 18-24 months of positive evolution, and something close to aristocratic class when the wine is mature. 190 cases produced.
