This is a textbook Lato “Hyde” Chardonnay, which displays luxurious creaminess, lovely oaky spice and plush aromas of sweet apples, peach tart, lemon curd, honey-roasted hazelnut, vanilla wafer and slate-like mineral scents.  Rich apple and pear fruit leads on the palate, followed by focused white peach tart, lemon curd, honey and hazelnut flavors, while emerging minerality and upfront fruit zest create some backbone. Lingering and generous, if still youthful, it is certain to be super within the next two years. 148 cases produced.
