NVWE Notes: This is an extremely classy Chardonnay, in the line of a Batard-Montrachet. The nose offers elegantly chiseled aromas of peach cobbler, dried green apple, apple skin, preserved lemon, toasted meringue, honey-drenched nuts and flint. It is wonderfully rich, focused and forthcoming on the palate, where terrific zest and subtle minerality bring a racy feel to flavors of lemon tart, ripe peach, baked green apple, honeysuckle, mace, baking-spice, hazelnut and vanilla wafer. The finish is concentrated, deeply flavorful and ultra-long. If stunning now, it is a few years from its full loveliness.
